If you marry a US citizen, you merely have to remain married for a certain length of time, then you can become a citizen. My friend married a guy from India so he could get citizenship. After about 3 years he applied to be a citizen. His visa was also renewed beyond its limit during this time in order for him to remain. Whatever the length of time is, you simply apply with your spouse, marriage license, and required indentification (passport, visa).

What you are hoping to do is illegal and immoral, so I think you should probably think of another plan. It is very wrong to marry someone just so that you can become a citizen of their country, and people who do that give immigrants a bad name.

You wont be able to become a citizen if your visa is a student visa, besides it is a violation without going through the process. You may try this email address nvcinquiry@state.gov in order to ensure right answers to your queries. God bless you...(-;

Get a lawyer and ask. That's very bad your husband is roaming around illegally.

Has anyone been a foreign exchange student in Australia?
Has anyone been a foreign exchange student in Australia? If so, did you enjoy your trip? Would you recommend staying there to other people, or another country? I'm considering staying there for this summer or next and would like some input on how people's experiences have been abroad.

Becoming a foreign exchange student in Australia?
Becoming a foreign exchange student in Australia?
Hello, I currently live in the US, Minnesota. I'd like to become a foreign exchange student in Australia. Does anyone know anything about this? I'll be a junior this upcoming year so now's the time to get into this for sure. I don't mind only going for a summer but I'd really love to do it. If you have any knowledge on this matter please contact me. I tried talking to my school counceller about this but she was no help at all. Thanks guys.
