Australia Student Visa in Huge delay,2009?
Hi My name is Harman I scored 7.5 bands in IELTS I applied for Australia e-student visa in the month of August,2009. My Classes were about to start on 29th September, 2009 My medicals are also finalised and uploaded in the Australia online visa portal Can someone tell me what's going on in the Australia Embassy.. This is really affecting my studies and my planning for my future and carrier.....

You haven't told us what country you're from, but it's true that student visa applications for students from some countries have been subject to delays caused by extensive additional checking required to identify fraudulent applications. Far too many people from some countries have been submitting IELTS results for tests taken by other people; financial documentation that bears no resemblance to their true state of affairs; bogus academic results etc etc. The dishonest people have made everything more difficult for honest students but the fault is not with Australian immigration. http://www.immi.gov.au/students/student-visa-checks-strengthened.htm
