What kind of I.D can a foreign student apply in Australia besides driver license????
What kind of I.D can a foreign student apply in Australia besides driver license???? let me add this again...besides driver license & passport. In U.S ...you can apply for State I.D...Passport is difficult to renew..and some ignorant people don't recognize the cultural difference that shows up in passport...or they don't simply don't recognize other countries...passport...

a passport is totally an international ID of a person. your passport works everywhere around the world as your ID

While Australia is a relatively safe country I wouldn't recommend carrying it around in your back pocket or your purse. What if you lose it! If you don't have a driver's licence youmight be able to get a Photo Card from the RTA (first link). I think the reason why some people don't accept foreign passports is because it's harder to determine if another country's passport is fake or not. Banks, government institutions and such should be accepting it but say buying liquour might be a bit harder. Students should be able to get their university or tafe ID cards. I'm not too sure about high school id. Possibly medicare or credit cards or any clubs or associations you belong to.

exchange programs happen through sister cities, and you will have better luck going to a local gov't building and asking them if there is an exchange program instated. I live in America, and the exchange program from my city goes to New Zealand, China, Germany, Macedonia, South Korea, France, and South Africa. You can always wait till youre in college and just try to get into a school abroad, that might be an easier solution. Good luck!

Do you have to have AUS$18,000 to enter Australia on a student visa?
Do you have to have AUS$18,000 to enter Australia on a student visa?
I know something about $18,000 to support yourself while studying in Australia, but reading up on it it doesn't seem that you have to have it. Does anyone have the right answer for me? Thanks

Email your contact at the school, they should know this if they take foreign students on a regular basis.
2 :
The financial requirements for an Assessment Level 1 student to get a Student visa are that you must declare on your application that you have access to the following funds for the duration of your course i.e. 3 year course, multiply the first 2 below by 3: • $18,000 per year for living expenses • Your tuition fees • A return airfare The department must be satisfied that an applicant, once in Australia, will have genuine access to the funds they claim to possess. You will have to produce the proof before you will be allowed into the country. Even assuming that you get in without the funds, how do you imagine that you'll be able to live in this very expensive country? You are allowed to work for 20 hours per week during the semester (though you can work for unlimited hours during official course breaks), but it will almost certainly cost more than $18,000 for living expenses and you'll find it very difficult to earn that much while you're studying (and your studies MUST be full time or your visa will be cancelled).

How does a Year 10 student earn money quickly in Australia?
A year 10 student is about 15 years old. I know one who really needs a decent job to earn good money quickly, like tutoring or other jobs.
