Is it okay to plan to live permanently in Australia after the student visa expires ?
I'm going to Australia this year to study (Tourism Management), and i plan to stay there permanently after i finish studying. Will it be okay or will i have a hard time doing so ?

You'll have a hard time. Why don't you save yourself the headache, and apply for PR 6 months into your studies. You might find yourself surprised if accepted.

LOL! No! You will be in Australia illegally, unable to get proper work and will be deported when found, which will prevent you from going to many other countries.

You will have a very hard time staying here legally as you have no chance of getting a work visa (or work for that matter) with Tourism Management qualifications. We need more tourism managers like we need swine flu or a longer drought and only people in occupations in which we need workers can get visas to stay here. You will have an even harder time if you intend staying here illegally. If you can't find an occupation you will be qualified for on this list, you will not be able to live and work here. You will also need experience: http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1121i.pdf

you cant just stay. you have to apply for a residency visa after your studies end. The best one for you to use AFTER you graduate will be this one. http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/485/
