my girfriend is in Australia on a student visa and she is pregnant. How much will it cost without medicare?
I have PR and have health insurance but she does not. She is from Japan and they dont seem to have a recipricol arrangement. She will likely require a C - section, any ideas on how much pregnancy and delivery will cost?

A c-section can cost anywhere from 20-50 thousand.. Depending on country and if any problems will arise.

If your the dad she should be able to be on your insurance until she gives birth. I think my whole pregnancy and labor and delivery costs were somewhere around $10,000 when all was said and done but I have insurance and only paid maybe $500-$800 of it.

in Australia anywhere between 5-15K depending on complications and how long she is in hospital. It will be much cheaper if she returns to Japan for this and then return afterwards.
