is it possible to cancel Australia student Visa after applying for other substantive visa?
is it possible to cancel Australia student Visa after applying for other substantive visa?
Currently I am holding student visa sub class 572, but I am eligible to apply for Skilled graduate visa SC 485, as I finished my 2 years study. Is it possible to cancel my student visa once I applied for Skilled graduate visa SC 485 ?

You have to be in Australia when your 485 visa is granted and you must have a visa in order to stay here. If you were to cancel your 572 student visa before being granted your 485, you would be here without a visa i.e. illegally. If your student visa expires before you get your 485, you will automatically be granted a bridging visa to enable you to stay here while you wait for a decision on your 485. If your 485 is granted while your 572 is still current, the granting of the new visa automatically cancels any existing visa.
