Can some one who is not my relative be my guardianship for the student visa in Australia?

Can some one who is not my relative be my guardianship for the student visa in Australia?
I'm under 18 yrs old and don't want to stay in home stay, my family have a friend there which is 26 yrs old, hold a citizenship, got a job and would like to be my guardian, but he is not our relative....Is it possible for him to be my guardianship

It will need to be a relative. Here are the rules from the immigration website: If you are under 18 years of age, you must have acceptable arrangements for your accommodation, support and general welfare for the duration of your student visa or until you turn 18 (whichever happens first). You must show that you will either: live in Australia with your parent or legal custodian live in Australia with a relative over 21 years of age who is nominated by your parent or legal custodian live in Australia under a welfare arrangement that has been approved by your education provider. http://www.immi.gov.au/students/students/573-4/eligibility-student-18.htm

no , if youre under 18 it wont even be possible you ll need someone whos relative - someone from your family lots of people want to do this in that way but government needs to be sure that this person wont want to escape with you or something hope you understand
