no after the age of 16 you don't need parental or guardian carers, but the legal age for most things in Australia is 18, but you free and responsible for yourself at age 16

do you have the money to stay by yourself? you will not be entitled to any government funding and will have to have a work permit to work while studying

Is there any age discrimination for mature student (25+) graduated from engineering in Australia?
did anyone experience or will I experience any age discrimination after graduating from engineering as a mature student in Australia? Especially with the graduation age of 33+ in electronics or Mechatronic engineering.

Likely little or no age discrimination, but you may be judged poorly on what you did since high school besides study engineering. You do need to account for that time. Some personal references from any uncheckable periods may help. Neil
