Me and my spouse are going to Australia(me on student visa and he is on dependent visa) what should we carry ?
thanks for ur so many replies we are going to sydney on 20 may. what important things like in clothings, uttensils, bedding, toiletries etc. we should carry?

wat do u mean?? in luggage?? clothes such as shorts t-shirts for the daytime. some sweaters and long pants for the night. sunglasses, sunblock, mayb a hat. some books(in case you get bored)

bank statements, medical records and history of check up, school records: acceptance letters and such, marriage license, passport. CLOTHES.

Well i think i can help you here. I live in Australia. If you coming soon like winter time it is honestly not that cold. We have cold snapped and then muggy days So if you pack jeans t shirts pants. and the wifey skirts cardis t shirts. And we have some pretttyy sweet clothing stores you don't realy need much at all. Where are you coming from.?

I'm not sure if you're referring to what you shoudl carry when it comes to paperwork, but I'm going to take a guess... Obviously your paperwork will be checked at the airport by customs when you land, but other than that, I can't forsee anyone stopping you in the street to ask for papers like happens in other countries. I would still carry a form of ID with you (drivers license or passports) just in case anything happens, I live here and I do as a matter of personal safety anyway! But if you are staying in a motel, your visa papers, etc should be ok to be left there as if on the slim chance you were asked for them, the authorities here would allow you to retrieve them from your accommodation. As for practical things to carry, if you're here in summer, then sunscreen, water, insect repellant, would probably be major things. Anything else you need you should be able to obtain eaisily at stores, etc (depending on if you're going bush or staying in the citys!)
