Japan. Totally different culture, pick up the basics of a language as you go.

I would say Austrailia. That would be awesome!!! I don't have any real reasons, other than I always wanted to go there. The people seem so laid back & cool, plus I LOVE their accent!

I think it depends on which language you're able to study in.

I would say do a little bit of research on the two different cultures. Find out what type of things in their histories you would be interested in seeing. For instance in Japan you could see some of the historical stuff regarding WWII in regards to the US (if that interests you). AIN Australia you could learn more about reefs and surfing. I don't think language is such an issue because being immersed in a culture you will quickly pick it up. Good luck and have a good time.

I believe this will depend more on the subject you plan to major in. Outsider will not be able to give you any correct answer. You know yourself best. Japan or Australia has its own specialty, and specialty core subjects. If you are looking at more technical or engineering related subjects, Japan will be it. If you are looking at business, administration, etc, then I think Australia will be more appropriate. Ultimately you make the decision for yourself, please.
